Construction of the Hexiang Library in Zhongshan's Xiaolan began on March 16, with completion targeted by the end of 2027.
Funded by a 110-million-yuan donation from the Zhongshan Jianhua Charity Foundation, Hexiang Library sits on Ronghua North Road, adjacent to Longshan and Jiangbin Parks.

Occupying 2.86 hectares of land, the library will house 800,000 books with 1,000 reading seats.
The design merges New Lingnan Culture essence with Xiaolan's local identity, featuring zones for children's reading, self-service access, open-shelf browsing, special collections, and exhibitions.

Its architecture draws inspiration from Xiaolan's famed chrysanthemums, forming a structure with layered, petal-like unfolding forms.

Upon completion, Hexiang Library will serve as a modern cultural landmark integrating reading, cultural exchange and public welfare services.
