The 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Zhongshan Tanzhou) Dragon Boat Invitational opened on the Anfu River in Tanzhou, Zhongshan on March 1. Fifteen teams from GBA cities including Zhongshan, Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen and Zhuhai competed fiercely.

At 9 AM, synchronized chants echoed as paddlers surged through the water, creating waves that drew thousands of spectators, including Zhongshan residents, Hong Kong and Macao people, and tourists from other places.

After three rounds of competition, Jiangmen Xinhui Dragon Boat Association claimed gold, followed by Zhongshan Shiqi Dragon Boat Team and Zhuhai Xiangyun Dragon Boat Team.
