G.S. Lin, great-grandson of Sun Yat-sen, is a researcher and advocate for collective ownership. He has studied cooperatives in various countries, including Cuba, Venezuela, Spain, Honduras and the United States.
This autumn, he visited Yakou Village in Zhongshan, a place where the Sun family's ancestors once resided. Today, Yakou is recognized as a model village of "High-Quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns and Villages". Through the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism, the village has undergone a remarkable transformation.
Lin hopes to return to Yakou during his next trip to his hometown of Zhongshan to conduct further research on the village and its distinctive cooperative production model.
