The renovation of an old power plant into a rural hotel has commenced in Zhongshan's Yakou Village, featuring the Jianlu-branded homestay and coffee shop. The main structure has been topped out.
The coffee shop will open in September and the homestay in late December. This transformation promises to revitalize the village's landscape and boost rural tourism.
The homestay is divided into three functional zones for accommodation, restaurant and coffee shop.
The accommodation zone spans four floors, housing 14 luxury suites and featuring a guest reception center, private panoramic elevator, rooftop infinity pool, gym, laundry room, children's play area, sky garden, and team-building bonfire zone.
The 6-meter-high coffee shop preserves original industrial production elements while integrating modern coffee culture, offering customers a unique nostalgic ambiance.
The power plant, established in 1957 with equipment donated by Macao residents, stands as a microcosm of China's early electric power industry development.
