Customs data shows Zhongshan's foreign trade hit 52.76 billion yuan in the first two months of 2026, soaring 17.4% year-on-year. Exports reached 46.9 billion yuan, up 18%, while imports stood at 5.86 billion yuan, up 12.7%.
Imports and exports conducted through general trade amounted to 35.04 billion yuan, up 12.8%, accounting for 66.4% of the city's total foreign trade. Processing trade totaled 13.88 billion yuan, an increase of 16.2%, accounting for 26.3%.
Private enterprises recorded import and export value of 32.21 billion yuan, up 32.7%, accounting for 61.1% of the total. Foreign-invested firms reported 19.31 billion yuan, an increase of 4%, accounting for 36.6%.
Zhongshan's trade with the European Union, the ASEAN, China's Hong Kong and Taiwan regions totaled 9.26 billion yuan, 6.16 billion yuan, 4.8 billion yuan and 2.43 billion yuan, up 29.7%, 18.7%, 108.5% and 41.2% respectively. Trade with the US reached 6.84 billion yuan, down 5.6%.
During the same period, Zhongshan's imports and exports with B&R countries/regions and RCEP members hit 23.5 billion yuan and 10.67 billion yuan, up 15.8% and 11% respectively.
