The Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation Sanxiang branch held an authorization ceremony for the use of the "Shiqi Pigeon" geographical indication (GI) mark, issuing a download password to Zhongshan Shiqi Pigeon Breeding Co's Baishi branch on July 10.

This marks the city's first enterprise authorized to legally utilize the GI mark across product packaging, promotional materials and e-commerce platforms, providing new impetus for brand value enhancement.

The authorization follows the China National Intellectual Property Administration's official recognition and protection of "Shiqi Pigeon" as a geographical indication product. It becomes Zhongshan's fourth such designation after "Huangpu Cured Meat", "Zhongshan Crispy Grass Carp" and "Shenwan Pineapple".
