Yakou Village in Zhongshan's Nanlang Subdistrict hosted its annual folk event — the Yakou Piaose Parade — on June 20.

The parade featured Piaose teams from eight natural villages, one imposing wooden bench dragon dance team, and eight lion dance troupes.
This year's parade blended traditional Piaose performances with dragon and lion dances, folk dances and more, with the wooden bench dragon dance show as the grand finale.

Yakou Piaose dates back to the Tang Dynasty folk custom "amuse the bodhisattva" and was added to the national intangible cultural heritage list in 2008.
