Nestled in the Vancouver Chinatown in Canada, the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Park (中山公园) was built to honor Dr. Sun Yat-sen. The four characters "Zhong Shan Gong Yuan" on the park plaque were inscribed by his wife Soong Ching-ling.

The site consists of two parts: the free-access Dr. Sun Yat-sen Park, built primarily with materials from North America, and the paid-entry Dr. Sun Yat-sen Classical Chinese Garden, which replicates Suzhou gardens during the Ming Dynasty, built with Chinese materials, earning distinction as the first Suzhou-style garden built outside China.
The park was was named World's Top City Garden by National Geographic in 2011 and was voted Canadian Garden of the Year by the Canadian Garden Tourism Council in 2012.
