Pearl Sun Lin, the eldest granddaughter of Sun Yat-sen, passed awayin the United States on March 24 at the age of 103. Her family recently held a memorial service in California to honor her life.

Born in Guangzhou, China on January 16, 1922, Pearl Sun Linnurtured her loved oneswith a kind heart throughout her life. She dedicated herself to health preservation, nutrition, nature and investment, while remaining consistently concerned aboutglobal developments and world affairs.

Both Pearl Sun Lin and her younger sister Rose Sun Tchang were both concerned about the development of their ancestral hometown of Zhongshan. They returned to China many times to visit their relatives and donated a large number of cultural relics.

In November 2016, Pearl Sun Lin was named "Honorary Citizen of Zhongshan" by the municipal government.
