An aquatic life proliferation and release activity was held on July 29 at Cuiheng National Wetland Park in Zhongshan, introducing 14 million juvenile fish and shrimp into local waters.
These species, including yellowfin seabream, flathead grey mullet and greasyback shrimp, will settle down and multiply in the Hengmen waters.
"This is a proven method to replenish commercial fish stocks and safeguard regional biodiversity," said an official from the Zhongshan Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Since 2021, Zhongshan has cumulatively released over 75.48 million juvenile fish and shrimp through proliferation and release activities.
