The Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau has recently approved the budget estimate for the first phase of the Xiangshan Trail, a government‑funded hiking path project in Wuguishan.

The project includes a 14-kilometer hiking trail and supporting facilities. Construction is set to begin in November 2026 and conclude in November 2028, with a total investment of 59.14 million yuan.

Located in the heart of the Wuguishan Mountain Range, the trail will connect natural scenic spots such as Dajianshan Mountain, Nantaishan Mountain and the main peak of Wuguishan Mountain, as well as historical and revolutionary sites including the former residences of Sun Yat‑sen, Zheng Guanying and Yang Yin, the old headquarters of the Pearl River Column, and the Qi'ao Ancient Road.
