Construction of the reading-themed "urban living room", part of the Yagang Canal Park, is in full swing by the Yagang Canal in Zhongshan's Sanxiang Town on April 2.

The project will include a 4-hectare ecological culture demonstration zone, transforming the original riverbanks into a new landmark that blends ecological environment, culture and recreation.
The urban living room features a 2-hectare lawn, connecting to a "performance island" built in the water with a stone bridge. As a whole, they form an open-air stage for live performances, expert lectures and other activities.

Additional highlights include a woodland creek area with shallow-water play areas for children. Plans also include introducing local special snacks such as Ludou zongzi (glutinous rice with various fillings wrapped in leaves) and Sanxiang glutinous rice balls, and setting up container cafes along walking trails, allowing visitors to experience Sanxiang's local charm.

The entire Yagang Canal Park spans about 30 hectares and comprises the cultural and creative arts zone, rural scenic zone, woodland and lawn zone, and wetland zone.
