A shipment of chilled beef processed by the company Mansun Food left Zhongshan for Hong Kong via a land border checkpoint in the early hours of September 17. This marks the city's first chilled beef supply business to Hong Kong.

"Going forward, our supply of chilled beef to Hong Kong will reach about 1,000 kilograms per day," said Mai Jingfeng, head of inspection and quarantine at Mansun Food.

On August 25 this year, the company completed Zhongshan's first export of chilled pork to Hong Kong, and immediately began preparing for the chilled beef supply business.
