Zhongshan's GDP reached 97.309 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2025, up 4.2% year on year, calculated in constant value.
The value added to primary industries stood at 1.423 billion yuan, up 4.3% year on year. Those to secondary and tertiary industries increased 5.1% and 3.4% year on year to 47.405 billion yuan and 48.482 billion yuan, respectively.
The value-added of above-designated-size industrial enterprises in Zhongshan achieved a 5.6% year-on-year increase. By sector, manufacturing grew by 6.2%, while electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply declined by 5.9%. By industry, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing rose by 7.1%; computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing surged by 14.5%; and pharmaceutical manufacturing expanded by 23.2%. Advanced manufacturing recorded 7.9% growth, accounting for 52.4% of above-designated-size industrial output, and high-tech manufacturing grew by 14.3%, accounting for 18.0%.
Zhongshan's consumer price index (CPI) edged up by 0.1% year on year. Specifically, the service price index decreased by 0.7%, while the price index of consumer goods rose by 0.5%.
Zhongshan's per capita disposable income reached 19,214 yuan, up 2.5% year on year.
