China's Zhongshan and Ecuador's Ambato recently held an online economic and trade promotion conference. Starting from the lighting and home appliance industries, the event was held to deepen supply-demand matching, technical exchanges and investment cooperation between enterprises in the two regions and explore new opportunities for bilateral economic and trade collaboration.

Representatives from Nantou Town and the Electric Lighting Industry Association of Zhongshan City delivered presentations on the development of Zhongshan's home appliance and lighting industries.

Zhongshan and Ambato established a sister-city relationship for friendly exchanges on October 30, 2024. This year, Zhongshan will join hands with schools in Ambato to launch online Chinese teaching programs.
