In the first half of 2024, Zhongshan's GDP increased 4.5% from a year earlier to 188.5 billion yuan.

Specifically, the added value of primary industry was 4.156 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.8%, the added value of secondary industry stood at 98.307 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%, and the added value of tertiary industry reached 86.037 billion yuan, up 0.8% year-on-year. 

The added value of large-scale industries was 74.377 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 7.6%. Specifically, the manufacturing industry grew by 7.8%.

The city's fixed-asset investment, industrial investment and advanced manufacturing investment increased 5.0%, 21.0% and 24.4% from a year earlier, respectively.

The per capita disposable income of Zhongshan residents stood at 32,763 yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 4.8%. The consumer price index decreased by 0.3% year on year.
