Construction began on infrastructure for the industrial platform of Qijiang New Town on June 26.

The project, located in the Shenglong area of Gangkou town, represents a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan and is expected to be fully completed by the end of December 2027.

Part of the project, the Qijiang Smart City Industrial Park, with an investment of 660 million yuan, will be developed in two phases. Phase One will include an industry promotion center, R&D workshops, custom-built production facilities and staff dormitories, catering to companies' needs for research and development, production, office use, and living.

The supporting road infrastructure, with an investment of 940 million yuan, comprises 4 municipal roads totaling about 4.7 kilometers in length.
