In Zhongshan Torch Industries Group's electronics smart complex located in Torch High-tech Zone, a silent metamorphosis is underway for tech firms. The state-owned carrier's "industrial platform + capital empowerment + urban ecosystem" rainforest-style innovation model has become the "growth code" for resident enterprises.

Take Uvata Optics as an example. Specializing in optical measurement, the 13-year veteran — from a modest workshop in Shabian Community to a national-level "little giant" enterprise with 4,000 square meters of R&D and production space, is scripting its new success stories in the complex.
Lei Yuliang, administrative manager of Uvata Optics, credits the complex's "stratified independence and process matching" design for unlocking companies' flexible production — handling urgent small-batch prototyping while seamlessly scaling to mass production.
The facility's "research first then production" layout optimizes workflow: floors 5-9 house R&D centers, precision labs and production workshops, enabling engineers to transition from lab to line by simply changing floors, slashing time from prototype testing to mass production.
"Spatial efficiency lets us focus on R&D," reveals Uvata Optics' general manager Tan Shaopei. With R&D staff comprising 40% of the company's workforce, Uvata Optics has secured over 100 patents, pioneered a dozen industry-first products, and commands over 60% of China's MTF imaging lens market.
