China Central Television recently trained its cameras on KBS, an electric appliance manufacture in Zhongshan's South District, documenting the the company's success in expanding its presence in overseas markets.

At the 40,000-square-meter modern production base, 4 semi-automated motor production lines and 6 fan-light assembly lines operate at full capacity.
"Output in June this year was up 120 percent from a year earlier," said KBS production manager Luo Wen. Behind the surge in orders lies the company's astute reading of global market trends and its commitment to a mid-to-high-end market position.
KBS invests nearly 5 percent of its annual revenue in R&D, with a team of over 20 engineers launching 5 to 10 new products each month on average.
"We keep researching and staying attuned to demand in each market and adjust our R&D and production accordingly," said general manager Shi Xiaohong. Seventy percent of its products go to Europe and the United States, with the remaining 30 percent covering Southeast Asia, South America, Australia, and the Middle East.
The company has set up overseas warehouses in the United States, Germany, Australia, and other markets, with total floor space of about 13,935.5 square meters, supporting quicker response to global customers through cross-border e-commerce and B2B channels.
