Recently, a fully loaded barge departed from Zhongshan's Shenwan Port, sailing to Guangzhou's new Nansha Port to connect with international vessels bound for Thailand and other places worldwide. This marks the launch of the Zhongshan Shenwan-Guangzhou Nansha combination port route.

Situated in the heart of the Zhongshan-Zhuhai-Jiangmen region, Shenwan Port is a key logistics hub for exporting competitive local products, such as daily consumer goods, household appliances and hardware, to global markets.

The combination port program enables "one-time declaration, one-time inspection, one-time release" through interconnected customs supervision and shared clearance data. This streamlines transshipment and allows enterprises to complete all customs procedures locally.

The new Zhongshan Shenwan-Guangzhou Nansha route helps reduce cargo transshipment time 5 days to 2 or 3 days, with logistics costs significantly lowered.

To date, Zhongshan has opened 14 combination port routes to hub ports including Nansha in Guangzhou, and Yantian and Shekou in Shenzhen.
