The first CMG World Robot Mount Tai Climbing Competition wrapped up recently. Zhongshan-based technology company Linxai won one gold and two bronze medals.

Linxai, which is based in Torch High-tech Zone, rose to the challenge, winning the legged-robot load-carrying race in 1 hour 51 minutes 29 seconds, according to a Xinhua report on November 4.

A company representative said Linxai will keep focusing on real-world applications such as emergency rescue, mountain supply delivery and field inspection, sending its heavy-load robots into more complex and hazardous terrain.
