On July 7, customs officers completed an inspection on a batch of healthy soup packs for export in a traditional Chinese medicine slice maker based in Zhongshan's Torch High-tech Zone.

In the height of summer, TCM products that clear heat, remove dampness, moisturize the lungs and boost overall health are selling well overseas. From January to June, Zhongshan Customs oversaw the export of 117.81 tonnes of Lingnan-style TCM soup ingredients, worth 7.41 million yuan.
"With growing overseas recognition of TCM health preservation concepts, our orders have been rising steadily. Especially in summer, our heat-clearing and dampness-dispelling products, made from ingredients that serve both as food and medicine, are popular in Southeast Asia as well as in Hong Kong and Macao regions," said a spokesman of the company.
