As a second-generation entrepreneur in Zhongshan's Huangpu, He Quanhui, general manager of Defu Meat Processing Co, has spent 15 years harmonizing traditional craftsmanship with innovation, successfully propelling the local preserved meat industry onto a new growth trajectory.


Leveraging his food science background, He swiftly identifies market shifts. He pioneered e-commerce channels, introduced single-portion "solo dining" products for emerging consumer groups, and upgraded packaging. Online sales now constitute nearly 20% of the company's revenue, significantly enhancing brand visibility and expanding market reach beyond the province.


Confronting industry challenges of labor dependency and workforce decline, He championed mechanized production by integrating automation. To safeguard the authentic fat-to-lean ratio and texture of Cantonese-style sausages, critical steps remain handcrafted, achieving an optimal balance between efficiency and quality.


Beyond production, He spearheaded the creation of the Defu Preserved Meat Museum and established an in-house DIY workshop to actively promote preserved meat culture. Recognized as a municipal inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, he has also contributed to drafting multiple industry standards.
