Nobel Prize-winning physicists Steven Chu (1997 laureate, former US Secretary of Energy, and US-China Green Energy Council chief scientist) and Brian Schmidt (2011 laureate, Australian Academy of Science fellow, and former Australian National University Vice-Chancellor) visited Zhongshan and toured Mingyang Smart Energy Group on October 12. The visit centered on global new energy industry development through exchanges.

Chu commended Mingyang's offshore wind power innovations, expressing hopes for "even greater achievements" in renewable energy. Schmidt highlighted the firm's ambitious scale in new energy — particularly its breakthroughs in hydrogen and space energy technologies — as "truly remarkable."
