"This is our first deep-sea aquaculture workboat project for a Nordic client," said a staff member of Jianglong Shipbuilding in the company's Zhupai Island production base in Shenwan Town. The specialized vessel will soon operate in Nordic deep-sea waters for salmon farming operations.
As a leading player in China's small and medium-sized vessel sector and a cornerstone of Zhongshan's marine economy, Jianglong Shipbuilding has strategically expanded its domestic and international footprint. The company is diversifying into marine aquaculture support vessels and ship maintenance services while strengthening its industrial chain.
Located along the Grade-A Modaomen Waterway, Shenwan Port benefits from the Xijiang River's main channel exceeding 12 meters in depth, which is ideal for constructing and delivering vessels up to 1,000 tons.
Shenwan Town now has more obvious advantages in developing the marine economy, thanks to its premium waterfront resources, 333-hectare developable land, and two river islands.
As Zhongshan's major ship building and repair hub, Shenwan is advancing a strategic industrial framework centered on the port-adjacent economic zone and three high-end marine equipment industrial parks.
