A special exhibition on educator Chung Wing Kwong opened at the Zhongshan Museum on September 8. It is the first exhibition in Zhongshan dedicated to Chung Wing Kwong, a native of the city and the first Chinese president of Lingnan University. The exhibition will run through December 20.

This year marks the 160th anniversary of Chung Wing Kwong's birth. The exhibition brings together artifacts, images and archival materials from institutions nationwide to document his dedication to education and inviting visitors to revisit his pioneering work in school running.

Chung Wing Kwong (1866–1942) was a renowned educator in China and the first Chinese president of Lingnan University. An active revolutionary, he explored an educational path blending Chinese and Western learning, played a pivotal role in restoring Chinese control of Lingnan University, and built it into a comprehensive university with a modern academic system and scholarly spirit, establishing a model for independent higher education in modern China.
