The 15th National Games opened in Guangzhou on November 9 evening.

Zhongshan sprinter Su Bingtian, alongside athletes from Hong Kong and Macao, ignited the main torch with the Flame of Unity at the opening ceremony, symbolizing cooperation and integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This marks the first joint hosting of the National Games by the three regions. The competition includes 34 events and 419 sub-events, utilizing 105 venues across Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. 

The 15th National Games will conclude in Shenzhen on November 21.

Nearly 60 Zhongshan athletes, competing for Guangdong, are showcasing the city's identity as the Hometown of Dr Sun Yat-sen through their perseverance and effort.
