The Guangdong Pharmaceutical Industry Measurement and Testing Center was recently established in Zhongshan. It is the first provincial measurement and testing center serving the pharmaceutical industry in Guangdong province.

In the future, the center will influence all of Guangdong province and even the whole Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, providing measurement and traceable, extensive and predictive testing services for the whole industrial chain of the pharmaceutical industry from Zhongshan.

The center set up three platforms, including the measurement and testing technology support platform, the scientific research innovation platform, and the industrial technology exchange platform. With about 15 million yuan of investment for purchasing relevant equipment, the center is able to carry out 180 types of testing.

In addition, the center established two technical supporting organizations: the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Industry Measurement and Testing Alliance and the Pharmaceutical Industry Measurement Technology Expert Database. The alliance consists of 28 institutions including well-known pharmaceutical companies and universities, and the expert database is composed of 36 university professors, experts in measurement and testing, and senior engineers in the pharmaceutical industry.

The Guangdong Pharmaceutical Industry Measurement and Testing Center moved its service window to the National Health Technology Park in Zhongshan and built over 3,000 square meters of laboratories in the industrial cluster, to provide geographically close services for pharmaceutical enterprises.
