August 19 marked the 4th "Chinese Doctor's Day", with millions of medical practitioners across the country celebrating the festival.

So far, there are 9,859 medical (assistant) practitioners in Zhongshan, including 1,126 community-based doctors. Among them, 58% are male and 42% are female, 16% have a postgraduate degree or higher, and 57% have an undergraduate degree. There are 2.22 medical practitioners per thousand permanent residents in Zhongshan.

Since August 18, LED screens of landmark buildings such as PE Mall, Dasin Metro-Mall and Hongyu Building would be lit up for 3 consecutive nights to pay tribute to medical workers. On this special day, we express our sincere gratitude by saying: "You protect lives, and we protect you!"
