On March 16, a convoy of 36 private cars was escorted by police and drove out of the Zhongshan west exit of Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Expressway. The 150 passengers in these cars were the first batch of Hubei migrant workers who collectively returned to Zhongshan. With the help of the governments and chambers of commerce in the two places, they resumed work finally.

"The 150 employees who signed up for the trip all held a Hubei health green code or local health certificate, and also passed relevant health examination before departure." Zhang Libo, deputy director of the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (ZSHRSSB), said during the recent updates of the epidemic risk level of cities and counties in Hubei Province, Yichang city is of low-risk. In response to changes in the prevention and control measures of the epidemic situation, the ZSHRSSB quickly carried out docking work. The first batch of returned employees will be isolated and monitored according to corresponding graded prevention and control measures formulated by Zhongshan city.

In Zhongshan city, there are nearly 100,000 migrant workers from Hubei, of which about 70,000 of them returned home before the festival, and 15,000 returned to Zhongshan after the festival, leaving about 55,000 still waiting to return to their work. Next, the ZSHRSSB will spare no effort in the centralized organization and accurate transportation of migrant workers stranded in Hubei to return to their posts in a safe and orderly manner to alleviate the shortage of jobs in enterprises in Zhongshan city.
