It is reported that in order to help migrant workers in Guangdong return home safely, the Guangdong Federation of Trade Unions, in conjunction with the federations of trade unions of Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan, launched a special activity entitled "2020 Trade Union Safe Return" through the "Guangdong Workers' Benefit" APP.

The participants are frontline workers and their family members who have registered permanent residence in the above 7 provinces and regions and are employed in 7 Guangdong cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou and Dongguan. In particular, sanitation workers, truck drivers, couriers, nursing workers, domestic servants, online food deliverers, real estate agents, security guards and other employees will be given priority in obtaining free tickets.

The Zhongshan Federation of Trade Unions decided to issue nearly 800 high-speed rail tickets (Guangdong to 7 provinces and regions) to Zhongshan migrant workers for free from January 6 to 10. As of noon on January 8, half of these free tickets had been issued.
