The 2020 National Teleconference for Spring Festival Travel Rush was held on December 25. After comprehensive research and study, the national passenger volume for the Spring Festival Travel Rush in 2020 is expected to reach nearly 3 billion. This represents a slight increase compared with the figure for 2019.

The 2020 Spring Festival Travel Rush will take place from January 10 to February 18, 2020. The transportation department predicts that 8.3857 million passengers will travel by roads and waterways through Zhongshan during this period. The data indicates a year-on-year decrease of 2.07%.

Zhongshan plans to put 4,086 buses into operation during the travel rush period; this figure includes 527 inter-provincial and inter-city buses, 694 tour chartered buses, and 2,865 local public transportation vehicles (including public transportation buses, but excluding taxis). Besides, 1,805 buses registered in other cities will also be organized to fulfill the need of transportation.

In addition, 1,029 taxis will be arranged in Zhongshan to provide service.
