This year’s municipal government report pays special attention to optimizing the service for home-based care for the aged and lists it as one of the ten livelihood projects. Three more service centers have been built this year with subsidies from the municipal government and towns’ administrations.
With 5 centers built in 2013, there are in total 8 service centers and 24 service stations at present in Zhongshan. Those service institutions are government-run and private-operated. The service was assigned to experienced social work institutions by public bidding.
