Wei Weihan, mayor of Zhongshan, on April 14 visited Shiqi District and Gangkou Town to conduct a research on natural gas utilization and pipeline construction.

Mayor Wei visited the construction sites of Qile Garden in Shiqi District and of Shuihe Garden in Gangkou Town to inspect the progress of natural gas installation projects, where he was also informed about the public's demands and concerns.

Later that day, Wei presided over a meeting to listen to reports on Zhongshan's natural gas construction and management, and to study and deploy natural gas utilization and pipeline construction work. He stressed that by 2024, natural gas will be available for 90% of residents in the central urban areas including Shaxi and Dachong towns, and 70% of the city's total urban residents.
