2020-10-13

"Just after the installation and debugging process, my mobile phone received a warning message from 'Gas Fuel Guard', which really can bring more security to families using bottled gas like us," said Mr Zhou, who was the first to install the "Gas Fuel Guard" system in Zhongshan.

On the morning of October 11, China Mobile Zhongshan Branch and Sinopec Zhongshan launched a campaign to introduce "Gas Fuel Guard" fisrt in Fengming Community, Shiqi District to ensure the safety use of gas fuel based on 5G technologies. The campaign was held in Yixian Lake Park, attracting many residents to consult and apply for installation.

When there is gas leakage, the "Gas Fuel Guard" system will alert an alarm, and the connected intelligent stop valve will be closed to cut off the gas supply. At the same time, the "Gas Fuel Guard Online Pre-Warning Platform" will receive an early warning signal and forward such information to the owner's through mobile phone message as well as to the gas company who can immediately send professional workers to the site for emergency handling. The whole process can be completed in less than a minute.

At present, there are about 700,000 bottled gas users in Zhongshan. Zhang Xinyue, deputy general manager of Sinopec Zhongshan, said that the "Gas Fuel Guard" system uses 5G and IOT technologies to integrate gas leakage alarm, automatic shut-off and online pre-warning to deal with gas leakages in a timely manner.
