The 2020 Seminar on Construction of High-level Hospitals was held in Zhongshan on September 20. A total of 106 experts specialised in general surgery attended the seminar to discuss the future development and direction of high-level hospital construction and clinical scientific research.

Professor Zhong Shizhen, a senior academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, founder of modern clinical anatomy in China and advocator of digital medicine in China, and Hou Fanfan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a famous clinical medical scientist, exchanged views at the seminar.

A kick-off meeting was also held for the signing of the Guangdong Clinical Medical Association.

The National Science and Technology Core Journal "Chinese Archives of General Surgery (Electronic Edition)" published by the Zhongshan People's Hospital held its third editorial board establishment and the first editorial board working meeting.

In addition, Zhongshan General Surgery Alliance, a medical expert union of South China, was established with 21 public hospitals in Zhongshan joining.
