Zhongshan has attracted a lot of attention since it carried out the morality cultivation activity in 2011. In the past five years, Zhongshan has taken a series of measures to encourage more people to participate into the morality cultivation activity and has made great achievements.

Thanks to the comprehensive coordination function of municipal Volunteer Federation, 28 subordinate volunteer associations and 1310 volunteer teams are established with volunteers of 234800 who provide 25 hours per person each year. In addition, various public welfare activities are held.
