The Information Office of Zhongshan People's Government held the 88th press briefing on epidemic prevention and control on the afternoon of March 20.

On March 20, two asymptomatic cases were found in Torch Development Zone among close contacts under quarantine. As of March 21, six cases have been reported, all of which are related to the same transmission chain.

According to the travel records of the affected individuals, a total of 28 visited places have been screened, all of which have been controlled and fully disinfected. In addition to the 24 locations identified on the March 19, 4 new places were added, including Jiajialai Pork Sale Center (家家来猪肉特卖中心) located downstairs in Kangli Garden Community (康丽花园小区), Kangle Third Street, Xiansheng Fresh Food Store (显生生鲜店) by the bridge of Kangle Third Street, a mobile wonton stall outside the main entrance of Dongli Market (东利市场), and No 2 Iron Building at No.18 Dongli Road (东利路18号2座铁皮屋).

Starting March 19, business sites such as card/board game rooms, mahjong parlors, Internet cafes, KTV, game rooms, and escape and LARP (live action role-playing) games rooms in Zhongshan will be closed temporarily, and the offline training would be suspended. Other indoor venues such as theaters, gyms, stadiums, swimming pools, bars, massage and spa rooms and etc are not allowed to receive customers exceeding 50% of their reception capacity.

To prevent and control the epidemic more effectively, all the teachers, students and staff in schools in Zhongshan are required to take a nucleic acid test before March 24.
