TUNG WAH GROUP OF HOSPITALS LI KA SHING COLLEGE (LKSC for brief) and Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Middle School (OCMS) held a sister-school signing ceremony yesterday afternoon in the high school campus of OCMS. Headmaster of LKSC Liang Xuepu and his counterpart of OCMS Lin Jialiang signed respectively on the Letter of Intention on Education Cooperation and Exchange, which declare that the two are sister-schools from now on.
According to the Letter of Intention on Education Cooperation and Exchange, an Exchange and Cooperation Committee will be set up, there will be regular or occasional visits between the supervisors to exchange managing experiences, and exchange of teachers to share advanced teaching methods and ideas. What’s more, during the holidays, they could also organize exchange activities for students of both sides.
As is introduced, the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals which was established in 1870 is the oldest and the largest charitable organization in Hong Kong. LKSC is the No. 12 middle school, which is directly funded by the government, but wealthy businessman Li Ka Shing donated for the construction of school buildings and the improvement of school facilities.
