Water-based Tourism Security Year was launched on Nov.9 and an emergency drill was then held in Qiandeng Riverside Square in Shiqi District.
The drill included rescuing drowning passengers out of water, putting out the fire and dealing with a damaged ship or a ship with a power dysfunction.

To publicize self-rescue skills, the emergency professionals taught people on the spot how to use the life buoys such as a life jacket or a life ring and what the safety alarm marks mean. Moreover, a prize competition about tourism security was held.
