On the afternoon of August 7, the Guangdong Provincial Games boxing event concluded in Liannan National Gymnasium of Qingyuan City.

In the group A 57kg Men's match, Huang Daiyan, a young boxer from Zhongshan, defeated his opponent from Shenzhen in a lightning-quick 41 seconds and won the gold medal.

The Zhongshan Boxing Team won two gold, three silver and five bronze medals in the end, and ranked fifth among all teams with 158.5 points. Huang Daiyan and Lin Miao were awarded the "Excellent Athlete" title.

The gymnastics competition of the Guangdong Provincial Games ended on August 3 previously, and the Zhongshan gymnastics team won one gold, one silver and five bronze medals and ranked fifth among all teams with 317 points.
