Original song "Stay in Zhongshan for the Spring Festival" was released on major music platforms on January 28. This song, written by Lu Hongping, a musician based in Zhongshan, was popular among many people upon release.
Lu Hongping, a native of Guangxi, has lived in Zhongshan for 6 years. She has gone home to celebrate the Spring Festival every year before, but this year she decided to heed the government's urgings and stay in Zhongshan for the Chinese New Year. "After learning about the government's request, I was very touched and wrote the lyrics immediately," Lu said. "The song only took me about three days to complete."
This will be the first time for Lu Hongping to celebrate the Spring Festival in a different city, so she fully understands the homesickness and longing we all have for family reunions. Her emotional connection to her hometown and blessings for her loved ones were all poured into the lyrics.
To increase the popularity of the song, Lu Hongping not only recorded a version herself, but also taught her 6-year-old daughter to perform a children's version.
"I plan to contact a team to make a MV as soon as possible and launch it on the national platform, so that more people can feel positive aspects of staying in Zhongshan for the Spring Festival. At the same time, I will start a free class to teach this song so that others can convey their blessings to their relatives far away," Lu Hongping added.
