2021-01-25

Miao Meilan, secretary of the leading Party group and full-time vice chairman of Zhongshan Branch Red Cross Society of China, and Jian Haiyan, honorary vice chairman of Zhongshan Branch Red Cross Society of China, visited the the Zhongshan Broadcasting and TV Station on January 21. They mentioned that the on-site Zhongshan Charity Parade may be held depending on the epidemic situation, and this year's "Online Charity Parade" will consist of two routes for citizens to "do good deeds".

Since the launch of this year's "Zhongshan Charity Parade" campaign on December 18, 2020, citizens have been donating enthusiastically. The "Red Cross Charity Caring" program was recently held as scheduled to send help to families in need.

Miao Meilan revealed that this year an "Online Charity Parade" Wechat applet would be developed to showcase Zhongshan's urban characteristics with hand-drawn maps and cartoon animation interfaces. Two routes are initially planned: one is the "24 Towns and Sub-districts for Charity" theme route with characteristics of each town and sub-district, and the other is the "Celebrating 34 Years of the Zhongshan Charity Parade" theme route.

The online parade will use Xingzhong Avenue as the background to simulate the offline route. In order to enhance the interactivity, interest and functionality as well as its influence on citizens, many historical and other elements will be integrated into the app.
