Guangdong Communication Group announced on August 23 that pipe section E20 of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge underwater tunnel was successfully installed on August 22.

E20 is a standard pipe section with a length of 165 meters and a weight of about 80,000 tons. Its installation was undertaken by the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge Project Department of CCCC First Harbor Engineering Company Ltd.

So far, the installed pipe section length of the tunnel has reached 4,537.8 meters, with only 500 meters left.

In total, 29 pipe sections have been installed, and there are 3 pipe sections and 1 final joint remaining, of which 2 pipe sections will be installed by the end of this year.
