At the construction site on the east bank of Qijiang River, the last lower bridge deck of Qijiang River Bridge was installed on June 13, marking that the lower bridge was joined up, which laid the foundation for the next stage of steel structure assembly construction of the upper bridge. Qijiang River Bridge is expected to be completed by November 30.

The new Qijiang River Bridge spans the Qijiang River waterway with a total length of about 1,340 meters and a main bridge of 153 meters. It is a two-way six-lane double-deck steel truss arch bridge, with a design speed limit of 100 km/h. The upper bridge is built for Zhongshan-Kaiping Expressway, and the lower bridge is for South Outer Ring.
