Construction workers erected the last girder on the pier at the Xijiang River Grand Bridge construction site of the Nansha Port Railway in Nantou Town, Zhongshan on September 16.

So far, all girders of theNansha Port Railwayhave been erected, marking the completion of its main part.

According to the construction team, the construction of replacement railway tracks will start in the near future, and the Nansha Port Railway is expected to be qualified for opening by the end of this year.

The Nansha Port Railway is a national, first-class, passenger-cargo double-track railway. It passes through Jiangmen, Zhongshan, Foshan and Guangzhou cities.
