Around 8:30 am on January 10, a red and blue police flag was raised in the square of the Police Training Detachment of the Zhongshan Public Security Bureau while a loud song in honor of the police played. A total of 260 people attended the flag-raising ceremony.

Zhongshan's public security organs held flag-raising ceremonies and various activities to celebrate the first Chinese People's Police Day on that day.

As one of the highlights of Zhongshan's celebration of the first Chinese People's Police Day, a ceremony paying tribute to the "safekeepers of society" was held for three consecutive nights starting January 8. Outdoor advertisement platforms such as electronic signs, residential block TVs, billboards and bus stops in all towns and sub-districts were used to pay tribute to police and auxiliary police officers.
