Nineteen employees of Guangdong Changhong Electronics Co Ltd obtained Zhongshan's first enterprise vocational skill certifications on November 13. It is reported that Zhongshan is the first prefecture-level city in Guangdong to complete the pilot reform of the enterprise vocational skill identification process.

"Our company has provided video training courses on household maintenance. We can not only review our skills, but also learn a lot of new knowledge," said Sun Xiujie, one of the newly certified employees.

"Guangdong Changhong Electronics Co Ltd was selected as the only pilot enterprise in Zhongshan participating in the provincial vocational skill identification process and has successfully completed the task," said Wang Chaogang, director of the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

Starting from late September this year, the professional qualifications (involving 29 occupations) of 14 categories of skilled personnel, such as machine operators, auto-repairmen, and Chinese-style chefs, qualifications for which were originally organized and implemented by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, will no longer be issued by government departments, but will be changed into company-based socialized vocational skill identification processes.

At present, one enterprise in Zhongshan has completed the pilot project, 12 enterprises have applied for carrying out the new process, and 9 enterprises are ready to apply.
