The two interchanges that connect the Zhongshan West Ring Expressway (Xiaolan branch line included) and the Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway, namely Henglan North and Zhennan, opened to traffic on March 20.

The Henglan North interchange is located at the junction of Guzhen and Henglan towns. Nine ramps are set up to facilitate traffic conversion with the Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway, making it an important external traffic control facility for Guzhen and Henglan.

The Zhennan interchange including two ramps is located next to the Dongsheng expressway service zone in Xiaolan Town. Ramp A allows vehicles to travel eastbound from the Zhongshan West Ring Expressway to the Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway, while Ramp B allows northbound traffic from the Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway to the Xiaolan branch line.

After the opening of the two interchanges, residents in northwestern Zhongshan will have one more option to transfer from the Zhongshan West Ring Expressway to the Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway. It can save more than 15 minutes by driving from downtown Jiangmen to Zhongshan's Guzhen, Xiaolan and Henglan towns, and about 10 minutes from Guzhen and Xiaolan to Gangkou and Minzhong.
