The main body of the Wanqingsha Grand Bridge of Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway was joined up on May 30, marking the connection between two important transportation hubs in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Area, which are Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge.
Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway connecting Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Shenzhen is a major transportation infrastructure project in the GBA. With a length of 21.6 kilometers, its main line starts at the Xinken interchange of Nansha Port Expressway and ends at Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway and Guangzhou-Macao Expressway; with a length of 10.7 kilometers, its branch line connects to the main line with the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge over the Lingdingyang estuary.
With a full length of 1,774 meters, the Wanqingsha Grand Bridge is one of the three major projects of Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway.
